What Popped?
Oh that was Karissa's belly. She definitely looks pregnant. This week her belly just expanded and she actually looks pregnant. Take a look at what 16 weeks will do to you with twins... We also had an ultrasound this week and found out that we are having at least one girl. The other gender was difficult to tell because the baby was being bashful, but we are almost certain it is another girl given what we did (or did not) see.
We have been having some great weather and some nasty weather. Luckily, the great weather has been on the weekends. Last weekend we went off-roading in our high performance off-roading vehicle...the volvo. We decided to take some new roads to see where they took us. They ended up going straight up the mountain with a bit of a rough ride, but it was great fun. We got to see the island from a whole new perspective. Then we headed to 'the city' where we stopped for supplies for a picnic lunch and headed to the park. Elijah ran his little heart out and played so hard it was difficult to keep him awake until we got home for his nap. Daddy played until heart's content as well!

New Things
Elijah enjoyed his first popsicle today. I tried to give him one a few weeks ago and refused to try it because it was cold. After watching mommy eat them daily he changed his mind. (It is one of those things I have been craving). He went straight to the tub after finishing his new favorite food since he was covered in the remains. He DID love every minute though. Elijah has also discovered a new bath time toy. He thinks balls are great EVERYWHERE, especially in the tub because they bounce off the walls and the sides of the tub!

SSGT Noll
It took a while for Chris to get used to being called "Sergeant Noll" rather than "Airman Noll", but he says it's getting more natural. This is one of many promotion ceremonies Chris attended in order to be honored with his new rank. Karissa got the privilege of "punching on his stripes" at another ceremony. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's exactly what is sounds like. She straps on a velcro rank over his old rank and punches him in the arm. (The only time physical abuse is allowed.) Congratulations Sergeant Noll!!!
On another note...Karissa is feeling better. She is now 14 weeks along. Whew, that first trimester was a duzy! She started feeling yucky around 8 weeks and it lasted for about 4 weeks, but seemed like forever! She was completely exhausted from working and taking care of children all day. We're not sure how she (or we) made it through. Let's just say the house was always a disaster and there were many hours spent zoning out on the couch watching Elijah and relaxing. Right at that 12 week mark she woke up feeling better. She hasn't been able to wear her regular clothing since about her 8 week mark, and that belly is slowly expanding. Most people say she just looks like she ate a big meal, but those who know her well, can tell it's a little bigger than normal. (Pictures soon to come).

Expressions
Elijah is so expressive. His face tells it all. I'm not sure what this face is all about, but when I saw it I just had to share it because I thought is was hilarious...and cute, of course. Elijah is learning so many things at school. This week his new thing is saying "Shhhhh" followed by a joyous "Yeaahh!" We captured him mid-shhh.
As we have previously seen, he also enjoys fruit smoothies (look out Juice It Up...here we come). Daddy made one this time and gave Elijah a taste in a big boy cup. Sometimes he does well with it, but then it can turn into a game. This time he decided to do a little bit of drinking from the cup as well as the straw and turned both into a game.

Easter Memories
Elijah enjoyed meeting his first Easter Bunny. At first, he was hesitant and just stared at the bunny, but after a few seconds he 'smiled' and we captured it on camera just for your eyes. On Easter Morning Elijah enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt in our backyard. Daddy went outside and hid the eggs and Elijah found them. He needed a little help with a few, but eventually he got them all.
This was by far his favorite find. After getting all the eggs, he decided to do a little hiding of his own. He took every single egg and put them in this one little bush. I think he enjoyed hiding them more than finding them.
