Momentous Occasions

This is the very first time Elijah ever held a baby. Can you tell how he felt about it? He was so gentle and loved every minute of it. He gave her kisses on her head and did his "gentle touch" where he very lightly strokes your face. We have been trying to teach him how to touch gently rather than always being such a brut. He's doing rather well with it. Elijah is giving Alana loves. Although immediately after this, he got extremely jealous for Mommy's attention and kept climbing on both Mommy and the baby. Just chillin' like a big boy. He LOVES to sit in Mommy and Daddy's chair.
Don't sneek up on Lijers, he's a growler. But no worries, his growl is bigger than his bite. Doesn't he look like such a boy? Bubbles are one of his favorite activities. Mommy can make enough bubbles before getting light headed, so we invested in a bubble-blowing machine. He loves it. Before bubble time we usually sweep because after we play with bubbles we just mop the floor and it's all clean!
Elijah has recently learned how to drink out of a big boy cup and is enjoying Mommy's homemade fruit smoothie ask he feeds it to himself.
We also decided it was time to move him to a big boy bed. He made the transition without any fuss. We tell him to stay in bed or a spankin' he will get, and he obeys...for now. It's been 3 nights and he's sleeping like a champ. It's been GREAT for Mommy because now he doesn't even make a peep at night which means Mommy gets some much-needed very-deep sleep. Hooray for Big Boy Beds!
(As you can tell, Elijah spends a lot of time naked in our house. I'm not sure why. Maybe because he makes such a mess of his clothes that we already change him a few times a day, or it could be that our child is unusually warm-blooded all the time. I don't think he ever gets cold.)
