HI

So Many Firsts

After the week of waiting for a Sapce A flight from home, we finally made it to the US. We decided to take a couple days of vacation before parting ways. We stayed in Virginia near Virginia Beach and spent our time sight seeing, eating great food, and getting out as a family. We spent one entire day at Busch Gardens and got to experience an amusement park for the first time as a family.
Chris went on his very first roller coaster with his Father-in-law. The second roller coaster fifnished him off and he was motion sick for two days after that.
Elijah went on his first rides as well. He rode this flying ride and sat on a horse for the carousel. Great Fun!
We have arrived at our final destination (until December) and have spent most of our time outdoors playing. Elijah went on a bike ride with Grandpa this morning and loved it so much he fell asleep.

We've Made It!

Unfortunately, we made it to a place in life we never really wanted to be. We are now the (not so proud) owners of a minivan. After looking at the two choices in vehicles we have out here in the middle of nowhere, we decided to buy a 2005 Nissan Quest. It was a little more than we had wanted to shell out for a mommy-mobile, but nevertheless here we are. Luckily, the previous owner was a meticulous clean freak and the car is pretty much flawless. It also has all the bells and whistles (which we weren't out looking for, but just came with it). It has the dvd system which can have a game console hooked up, power side doors and all the fun gadgets. We just wanted something that would fit out entire soccer team of a family we will soon have and walked out with much more. Anyhow, we are adjusting to the new look and have already enjoyed the ease of use for Elijah. It is so much easier for him to get into as well as for a preggo mommy to reach in to buckle and help him.
Elijah loves to just relax and kick back in the car...He calls it a "cool car!"Elijah loves to read, especially in a cozy place like Mommy and Daddy's bed. Mommy has brought home a bunch of balloons lately from her baby showers. (She was definitely showered with blessings before going home to have the babies). Elijah has enjoyed playing with them as well as popping the balloons. Whenever he sees a balloon he shouts "Pop it! Pop it!"

What's Going On?

It has been a busy, yet in some ways, uneventful week. Karissa had her last day of teaching on Friday, but it was busy at home and school up to the minute it was finished. Immediately after school we had to rush to the airport to try to catch a flight as space available passengers, which ended up uneventful. We didn't make it on the plane and are sitting around waiting for another opportunity.
The craziness of the week included mommy taking a day off in order to arrange things around the house and prepare to leave. Unfortunately, she spent most of the day in bed feeling under the weather. She had two doctors appointments, a baby shower and last minute 'things' to take care of. After running around like crazy people all week, we walked in the door after not getting on the flight and felt lost. Karissa said, "I'm not sure what to do. I'm bored already." She was ready for a vacation and had mentally checked out of here.
Chris had already made plans for the weekend. He has been at the softball fields all day Saturday enjoying a last-minute tournament. We are hoping to catch another flight tomorrow morning so we can make the connecting flights planned this week and a (shortened) last vacation as a family of 3. The next time we plan on being together will be after the new babies are born in late summer. Keep us in your prayers.
After all the appointments and craziness we did find out the gender of both babies...we are going to be having two little princesses and we are SUPER excited! Once again, Chris will be outnumbered. As usual, the ultrasound pictures aren't the best, but never the less, here they are. The Baby B picture is not as large as the first because the machine ran out of paper and they couldn't find anymore, but the important part is still there! You can tell there is not tons of room in there either because Baby A's face is smashed up against me.
